For his first solo exhibition at Lehmann + Silva gallery, Ramiro Guerreiro presents a selection of new works together with a series of drawings that have been part of a project in progress since 2016.
The works presented come in various media: Indian ink and watercolor drawings, acrylic ink on raw fabric drawings, photography, screen prints and three sculptural works, among other elements.
The title of the exhibition is a quote from the invitation made by Marcel Broodthaers for his first exhibition, held when he was 40, the same age as Guerreiro at the moment. This invitation has now been appropriated and adapted to these circumstances, having been screen printed on paper from interior design magazines from 1969. The copy 1/64 is one of the artworks exhibited.
