Filipe André Alves (b. 1981, Lisbon, Portugal) lives and works in Lisbon.
In his practice, he crosses poetry, philosophy and anthropology, focussing on how the body refers to space, and using drawing and sculpture as a consequence of his research.
He graduated in Fine Arts from the Caldas da Rainha School of Arts and Design in 2011, attended the Drawing and Painting programme at Palazzo Spinelli, Florence, in 2003, and the Tilework programme at the Museu do Azulejo, Lisbon, in 2002.
